Habitat for Humanity El Salvador – 2011 Navidad en Acción (Christmas in Action) Houses 1, 3 and 6

Guadalupe, El Salvador – 2011. This Habitat build project was Habitat El Salvador’s Navidad en Acción (Christmas in Action) blitz build consisting of six houses in Guadalupe which is a small village located east of San Salvador near the city of San Vicente. Our team was on site for two weeks. During the first week we did preparation work for the blitz build. Our team, along with a 16 member team from Farm Credit Canada in Regina, spent this week doing construction site preparation and advancing the construction started prior to our arrival. On our second week we were joined by a team of six Canadians from BC who continued the work finalizing the houses for a week after we left. The second week was also the actual Navidad en Acción (Christmas in Action) blitz build which saw the addition of many local volunteers from schools, churches and interested other groups.
